Anna was super professional, kind and skilled. She asked me how much pressure that I wanted her to apply to the massage to make sure I was comfortable and enjoying it. Would highly recommend have had a good 15-20 massages but this one had me feeling rejuvenated and my body feels like a million bucks now!

This place just isn’t the same anymore. Which is really unfortunate as I had been coming here for years. My most recent experience here has forced me to make the decision to stop coming. Not sure if it is under new ownership however the massage therapist that they have now are completely different from the past. One is extremely rude, sneaky and demanding. She tried to get me to pay before my massage was even given to me. And I also think she tried to sneak on an extra $5 to the price. Her whole demeanor came off very cocky and entitled. Pretty sure she isn’t a true massage therapist. The massage wasn’t relaxing at all.

I went to Oasis Spa about a month ago based on a recommendation, but my experience was disappointing. When I called, the phone was answered with just “hello,” without identifying the business, so I had to ask if I had the right place. When I arrived, the space was empty except for one person, and the treatment area was separated by a curtain, which didn’t feel private or professional. I am a licensed massage therapist, though I did not mention that during my visit. I specifically asked for focused work on my neck, back, and shoulders, not a full body massage. That request was not followed, and I was given a full body massage. At that point, I was annoyed and just let it happen so I could get out of there. There was also a clear language barrier, which made communication difficult throughout the session. The massage felt like a routine done the same way on every person, rather than anything tailored or intentional. It was a lot of pressing, rubbing, and general movement without targeted work. She spent about 10 minutes on my feet, and although the business promotes reflexology, the techniques used were not reflexology. Overall, it felt more like a glorified rubdown, and I left not feeling any better than when I arrived. There were also basic safety concerns. My arms were stretched overhead and my hips were moved without any questions about injuries or limitations, which should always be addressed before doing that kind of work. At checkout, I was told the price was $70, but the receipt showed $73, which I was told was a “tip,” though it appeared to be a service charge and was not clearly explained upfront. Before my appointment, I read reviews mentioning pressure around tipping. When I paid, I left a generous tip based on the effort, but I could see she was looking at the amount as if expecting more. I remained firm with what I chose to leave. Tipping is not required, it’s a choice. I don’t know if this person is licensed. Given that massage therapy in Rhode Island, a therapist has to be licensed.

I love the massages; they are really good, especially if you have muscle pain. However, they honestly shouldn't hustle and harass people for extra tips. This has happened to me more than once. Forcing more tips is illegal and unprofessional; it makes you feel like you got robbed. They claim they will stop 🚫. Yes, we should tip, but it's not mandatory, and you should give what you want or can.

Went in for a 90 minute massage. Massage was mediocre. Very rough even after I asked her to go easier several times. At the end, I left a $10 tip and got hounded to leave a bigger tip. Very unprofessional. I felt awkward. A tip is supposed to be just that. A tip. It's not mandatory and it is up to the customer how much they leave. The vendor should never be harassing the customer to leave a certain amount for a tip. If you go here, be prepared to leave a $30 tip minimum.
